Last month (October 2025) was ADHD Awareness Month. This year, the theme was “The Many Faces of ADHD” which gave me the gentle nudge I needed to start writing about my own ADHD journey. Of course, it might have been more timely if I’d finished writing this article during ADHD Awareness Month, but that’s not how ADHD tends to work in my case! However, I did write a very similar article for the research institute that I work for, which focused more on the challenges of ADHD in the workplace and why research has been the perfect career choice for me. This article is based loosely on that one, though focusing more on foraging and wild food.
