About the event
Join Leanne Townsend of "Wild Food Stories" for a workshop on the various methods of wild food and drink preservation. Learn about techniques including pickling, fermentation, dehydration and preservation using sugar and alcohol. Make the most of nature's bounty through preservation, and share the fruits of your forage with friends and family throughout the year. Leanne will demonstrate a range of different techniques and finished products. Workshop participants will be invited to get hands on and create a preserve of their own using a selection of wild ingredients. Explore a delicious range of preserved wild foods in a taster session, and take away your own wild food preserve to enjoy at home.
